Who we are.

For over 40 years, Slagel Monuments has been helping families create long lasting markers for the graves of their loved ones. We are a family owned and operated company based in rural Fairbury, Illinois. We handle the entire process, from design, to engraving to setting in the cemetery. From traditional monuments to custom shapes, let us help you create the perfect memorial for your loved one. ​

EXTENSIVE OPTIONS

​We keep an extensive inventory of stones to choose from. For those custom styles and colors we don't have on hand, we have a network of suppliers who can provide just what you need.

Visit

Visit local cemeteries to get ideas of lettering styles, colors and monument styles. 

Ideas

Have an idea of what information will go on the stone:  For example, names, birthdates, death dates, wedding dates, quotes, Bible verses, etc.  

Gather

Gather cemetery information:  cemetery name, grave location, section and lot number, if possible
